Team Building
Team Structure
For each race, you must build two separate teams:
Men's Team
- 2 Gold competitors (100% points)
- 2 Silver competitors (50% points)
- $100 total budget
Women's Team
- 2 Gold competitors (100% points)
- 2 Silver competitors (50% points)
- $100 total budget
Choose your Gold competitors wisely! They earn 100% of available points, while Silver competitors only earn 50% of their points.
Competitor Values
Each competitor has a value based on their past performance, skill level, and expected results. Values can range from $10 to $50.
Competitor values may change throughout the season based on their performance.
Budget Management
You have $100 to spend on each team (men's and women's). You must balance selecting top performers with finding value picks to maximize your potential points.

Strategy Tips
Winning Strategies
Research Competitors
Look at past performances, especially on similar courses or in similar conditions. Check the Stats Center for detailed competitor information.
Find Value Picks
Look for undervalued competitors who have been performing well recently but haven't seen their value increase yet.
Balance Your Team
Don't spend all your budget on one or two competitors. A balanced team often performs better than a top-heavy one.
Choose Gold Wisely
Your Gold competitors should be your most reliable point-scorers. Consider putting your highest-valued competitors in Gold positions.
Consider Race Conditions
Some competitors perform better in certain conditions (heat, hills, etc.). Check the race details and adjust your team accordingly.
Adapt Throughout the Season
Competitor values will change based on performance. Stay active and adjust your strategy as the season progresses.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Waiting until the last minute: Build your team early and make adjustments as needed before the lockout.
- Ignoring Silver competitors: While they earn fewer points, the right Silver picks can significantly boost your total score.
- Not using your full budget: Always aim to use your entire $100 budget to maximize potential points.
- Picking based on name recognition only: Focus on current form and race-specific factors rather than just selecting well-known competitors.
- Forgetting to save your team: Always click "Save Team" after making your selections to ensure your team is registered for the race.
